Płaszcz zimowy, szalik, rękawiczki. Zestaw obowiązkowy, bez którego nie wychodzę z domu. Dwa tygodnie temu pogoda iście wiosenna, 18 stopni, słońce, kurteczka wiosenna wystarczała. Teraz jednak zima wróciła, w niektórych regionach obowiązywał nawet alarm pogodowy. Synoptycy podczas prognozy pogody ostrzegają przed zimnem, pokazują zdjęcia z rożnych regionów, śnieg, zamarznięte jeziora. (zdjęcia można między innymi zobaczyć na stronie dziennika El País). Czy nie wiedząc, gdzie zostały zrobione zdjęcia, rozpoznalibyście na nich Hiszpanię?
Jak dzisiaj szłam do pracy termometr po drodze wskazywał -2, jak dojechałam do pracy już było 0 stopni, w ciągu dnia jest kilka na plusie. Ale to w Barcelonie. W niektórych miastach interioru temperatura spada do 10 stopni poniżej zera. W porównaniu z polskimi zimami takie wyniki nie robią wrażenia, ale dla osób, które myśl, że Hiszpania to ciepły kraj, takie temperatury mogą rozczarować. Mnie po rocznym pobycie w Lleidzie już nie zaskakuje zimno, gdzie często temperatury zimą spadały poniżej zera, gdzie zmuszona byłam kupić płaszcz zimowy, bo mój jesienny, który miał być wystarczając na zimy hiszpańskie w moim przekonaniu, jednak nie był wystarczająco ciepły.
W gazetach i prognozach pojawia sie określenie frío polar, zimno polarne, ale dla mnie to w porównaniu ze srogimi polskimi zimami wyrażenie wywołuje ironiczny uśmiech. Alarm pogodowy w Burgos, León, Palencia, Kantabrii i Asturii, to znaczy temperatury średnie -4 a -9ºC, w Pirenejach do -10. Pomarańczowy alarm (wysokie zagrożenie) ogłoszono między innymi w katalońskich prowincjach Girona i Lleida, gdzie temperatura może spaść do -12. (pamiętam zimne ranki i wieczory w Lleidzie, gdzie moi meksykańscy koledzy zmrożeni przemykali przez ulice).
Z utęsknieniem czekamy na powrót wiosny.

Two weeks ago we had a great weather, with temperatures up to 18 degrees, you felt spring in the air (and you could just take a light jacket for a walk on Barceloneta beach). Now, the winter is back, in some regions cold weather alert was declared. Weather forecasters are warning people against the cold, they show pictures from different zones, comment on snow, frozen lakes, law temperatures. Last Tuesday when I was going to work, the thermometer on the pharmacy in Rubi was showing -2 degrees, when I reached my office it was already 0 degrees, and during the day it still warmed up a bit. But this is Barcelona I am talking about, as there are some cities in the interior of the country where temperatures dropped 10-15 degrees below zero. Well, in comparison with Polish winters, such results don’t impress, but for those who think that Spain is a warm country, these temperatures may be disappointing. I am not surprised, After spending one year in Lleida, where diring winter temperatures are really law, where I had to buy a winter coat, cause mine that I had taken with me (and which I had expected to be warm enough for Spanish winters) was too thin.
In newspapers and weather forecast you can hear about frío polar, that is polar cold, which raise an ironic smile. Weather alert in Burgos, León, Palencia, Cantabria and Asturias, it means that the average temperature is between -4 and -9 degrees, reaching -10 in the Pyrenees. Orange alert was announced in some provinces, also in Catalunya: in Girona and Lleida, where temperatures are predicted to reach 12 degrees below zero.
I really want spring to begin, so that we can start exploring the region.
